[Please note: ECM has self-suspended for the PED Directive 2014/68/EU since 20/07/2022]

Directive PED 2014/68/UE defines the safety requirements for the design, manufacture and installation of individual equipment and assemblies subjected to a maximum permissible pressure exceeding 0.5 bar. In order to be placed on the EU market, such equipment and assemblies (e.g. boilers, hydraulic valves, pressure vessels, pipes and accessories) must comply with the requirements of the Directive and be CE marked.

Ente Certificazione Macchine is a Notified Body accredited by Accredia and authorized by the Ministry of Economic Development to carry out the conformity assessment in accordance with Directive 2014/68/EU. Depending on the module chosen, ECM’s engineers and auditors perform the activities included in the assessment procedures described in the Directive, so that the equipment can be placed on the European market and in operation in compliance with the essential safety requirements.
