I termoscanner sono uno strumento essenziale per le aziende per controllare e monitorare il rischio di una nuova diffusione del virus Covid-19.
Negli ultimi mesi, Ente Certificazione Macchine è stato sempre più coinvolto nelle attività su questi dispositivi, per verificarne la conformità in quanto dispositivi madici alla Direttiva 93/42/CEE e svolgendo le necessarie test per valutarne la sicurezza e le prestazioni.

I termoscanner sono dispositivi elettromedicali, classificati come dispositivi medici di Classe IIa, e per essere venduti all’interno del mercato UE devono essere conformi ai requisiti della Direttiva 93/42/CEE (MDD) o del nuovo Medical Regolamento Dispositivi 2017/745 (MDR). Tale valutazione viene effettuata da un Organismo Notificato autorizzato, una volta verificata la conformità del dispositivo, a rilasciare la certificazione CE.

Eventuali dispositivi diversi da quelli sopra descritti, comuni termometri ad infrarossi o altri termoscanner (non classificati come dispositivi medici) non possono essere considerati strumenti affidabili per la misurazione della temperatura corporea in quanto non testati e certificati secondo le norme di sicurezza e gli standard di qualità richiesti dalle direttive e dai regolamenti europei.

Nei luoghi di lavoro e, in generale, ovunque sia necessario effettuare sistematici screening della temperatura corporea per la tutela della salute delle persone, è fondamentale dotarsi di dispositivi che garantiscano un uso sicuro e risultati affidabili. I termoscanner marcati CE come dispositivi medici danno la garanzia di essere stati valutati e testati secondo i più severi standard europei, a tutela del mercato e degli utilizzatori. In caso di controlli o reclami, il datore di lavoro può dimostrare di aver utilizzato lo strumento idoneo che assicuri inequivocabilmente che siano state prese le misure necessarie per garantire la sicurezza dei suoi lavoratori.

Thermoscanners are an essential tool for companies to control and monitor the risk of a new spread of the virus Covid-19.
In recent months, Ente Certificazione Macchine has been increasingly involved in activities on these devices, to verify their compliance as madical devices with Directive 93/42/EEC and carrying out the necessary tests to assess their safety and performances.

On the market it is possible to find many models and types, produced in Europe or coming from extra-European countries. Considering the large request of these devices due to the emergency related to the coronavirus outbreak, it is necessary to pay attention and make sure, before buying or using any products, that all the necessary activities for the CE marking have been carried out, in compliance with all applicable directives. The CE mark must be affixed on the products or on the box, together with the number of the Notified Body that issued the certification.

Thermoscanners are electromedical devices, classified as Class IIa medical devices, and to be sold within the EU market they must comply with the requirements of Directive 93/42/EEC (MDD) or the new Medical Devices Regulation 2017/745 (MDR). In the case of controls or complaints, the employer can demonstrate that he has used the appropriate instrument that unequivocally ensures that the necessary steps to ensure the safety of his workers have been taken.
